WANDERING FOR REAL HAPPINESS

I wandered lonely as a wing
That blows on high mountains and hills,
Until I saw beautiful scenery:
A place of refulgent sunflowers;
Beside the water that flows, beneath the tress,
Dancing gracefully in my breeze.

Continuous in fluttering as the sun that shines,
And giving a light and joy to everyone.
They rooted in never-ending line,
Along the side of the flowing water:
I saw these things at a glance-
Moving their heads and petals in sprightly dance.

The flows of water beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling water in great delight
A wind like me wanders everywhere,
Seeking for my real happiness:
I gazed-and-gazed but little thought
What scenery the show to me had brought.

For oft, when I sat as I watched them,
In deep and in pensive mood,
They flash quickly upon that inward eye,
Which is a bliss of solitude;
And then my thoughts and heart with satisfaction fills,
As I go and dance with the sunflowers.
